Week of the Italian Language in the World 2015
The Week of the Italian Language in the World is an event of promoting Italian as language of classical and contemporary culture. It is annually organized by the Farnesina cultural and diplomatic net in the 3rd week of October, focusing on a central topic which works as a thread for conferences, exhibitions and spectacles, encounters with writers and personalities.

Hi everybody!
The topic of the Week of the Italian Language in the World for this year will be
“Italian of music, music of Italian”.
It will be hold from October 19th to 24th.
It’s an event which takes place every year all over the world and which addresses a wide range of topics.
It was established in 2001 through an agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Crusca Accademy which is under the patronage of the President of the Italian Republic President.
The Week of Italian language has grown, year after year, and now also involves the Italian Culture Institutes, Embassies and Consulates.
Can you imagine this? In all the world, in all the Italian Culture Institutes, Embassies and Consulates, as well as in many universities and private schools of Italian, people devote themselves to celebrating the Italian language, the 4th more studied language in the world!
We, at Italiano a Venezia are very happy of the topic chosen this year, for two reasons:
- this topic gives us the opportunity to make our students learning Italian through the music!
Actually, in our classes we often use songs as an instrument to learn Italian language, but this year in particular, we have decided to concentrate specifically on it from Oktober 19th to 24th .
During the classes we will listen at several contemporary Italian songs and thanks to various teaching techniques, we will learn the usage of Italian language, new words, grammar and structures of the beautiful Italian language.
2. Due to our specialization in Italian language pronunciation and in Italian Opera, that is in the music of Italy, we will, as well, focus onto exercises of intonation and pronunciation!
